Cree8 will be hosting a THREE-DAY Drum Making, Drumstick & Song workshop
July 31, August 1 & 2, 2026
***We have a beautiful location with limited space so register early.***


Chantal shares Traditional Indigenous Drumming, Songs, Storytelling, Indigenous Culture, Traditional Teachings and the History of the Drum. Drums are a traditional instrument found in all Indigenous cultures throughout the world. Drums are carry powerful significance, traditionally used for healing, ceremony, connection and celebration, each song and drum beat carrying messages and intentions of our Ancestors. Chantal will share Traditional Teachings connected to all Aspects of the Drum and Drumming, and how drums have been, and continue to be Created Sustainably in a good way.

*Everyone is Welcome for the Drum Circle. Additional Drums and percussion will be available to play.


*We will have coffee, tea, water, juice, and snacks.  Let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.


Materials:
Drums

Rawhide – Deer, Elk, Moose, or Buffalo for the Drum Face
Lacing – Rawhide (Precut)
Drum Rounds – 8”, 10”, 12" or 14" Yellow Cedar
Larger Drum Rounds of 16", 18", 20", 22", 24", 26", 28" and 30" are available upon request for an additional cost to cover materials, please contact Chantal for further information.    

Drum Sticks
Sticks –Variety of Sizes and Types
Deer Leather/Suede
Wool for Stuffing
Sinew for Stitching
***All Materials and Tools Provided
